"Nothing was going the Indiana Pacers' way at the end of regulation against the Chicago Bulls.

Bulls All-Star Derrick Rose had some of the Conseco Fieldhouse crowding chanting "MVP" as he single-handily carried his team in the fourth quarter.

The Pacers were upset over a questionable foul called on Darren Collison on Rose to force overtime.

And Danny Granger walked off the court wondering why he couldn't get the same respect from the officials as Rose got the possession prior to that.

The Pacers didn't let the sudden pressure get to them.

They pounced on the Bulls right at the start of the extra period and didn't let up, snapping Chicago's eight-game winning streak.

In a preview of a possible first-round playoff matchup, the Pacers scored the first seven points of overtime in their 115-108 victory over Chicago on Friday in front of the announced sellout crowd of 18,165 at the fieldhouse.

"They did knock the wind out of our sail a little," Granger said. "But we kept fighting and we had a couple of big plays down the stretch. It was really a team effort."

The Pacers led by 16 points in the fourth quarter, but things changed when Rose, an MVP candidate, strapped his team on his back and carried the Bulls into overtime.

Rose scored 19 of Chicago's final 20 points in regulation.

He tied his career high with 42 points, scoring 18 at the free throw line.

"He has my MVP vote," Granger said. "I think he's the most dominant player we've played against all year."

Rose's final three points were the most important.

Down three, Rose drew contact from Collison on his 3-point attempt with 1.2 seconds remaining.

"It is what it is," Collison said. "I felt like I didn't foul him. Sometimes it goes your way, sometimes it doesn't. This was one of the times it didn't go our way."

Rose made all three free throws and Granger's jumper as time expired wasn't close because he thought Rose fouled him on the arm."
