GO WARRIORS!
I wish I could, but I have AAU practice... I'll be watching the game though. I think the Warriors have a chance despite the injuries- they always make a push and do something extra when players go down. If Damp establishes himself down low early and continues to make a statement against JO, we have a good chance of winning. I doubt htat the Pacers bench and role players will have as good a shooting night as they did last time, so we just need to limit the looks of Al Harrington and Reggie Miller. Look for JRich to have a good night, as Artest is out and there's no other real defensive stopper on Indy.
Down by 6 with less than 10 left in the 4th. Keep jinxing the Warriors Custodian. Remember, whatevery you say, the opposite will happen. They were getting blown out by 20. When you said that they started their rally and will end up winning this game at home.
Ah didn't happen. BTW do you think ESPN will ever show the Warriors love? They kiss the Pacers, Lakers, and Kings ass even if they played a mediocre game and won against a team that was doing some pretty cool things that were noteworthy.
Yeah if we had Kobe Bryant or Kevin Garnett it'd be instant ESPN highlight coverage. All the superstar would have to do is dribble the ball and there's a highlight right there. Wouldn't matter if Jason Terry did a high flying dunk over Nazr Mohammed. It wouldn't see any air time on sports center.
So how about that game from Dunleavy? Did you see how Cheaney got 3 fouls in a minute? I'd settle for Pietrus off the bench any old day of the week to go in and be the defensive stopper. I love that guy.
I did not get to see the game. So is Petrius the defensive stopper really? If so, then Mussleman should put up or shut up. He preaches defense, defense, defense. But what is the point for all the preaching if you have your best defensive stopper on the bench in place for your weakest defensive player on the team?
What the hell? Am I trippin or did Dunleavy really get 24 points and 20 rebounds? WOW, incredible performance for his first game where he actually got a good quality of playing time. Didn't see this one, but it looks like the Warriors took it down to the end, but the Pacers just wouldn't let go. BTW, who was running the point for most of the game, for Golden State? And how did Pietrus look?
Here are my impressions of the game. Dunleavy played the point for most of the game, mainly because Avery and Larue played horribly. The pacers built there lead when Avery and Larue were in there. I think having Dunleavy handle the ball more helped build some confidence for him and also allowed him to make plays. He also had a this sweet bounce pass to J-RIch for the reverse dunk. Pietrus was great in this game. He made some mistakes though, but not many. One example is he took a 3 with 20 seconds on the shot clock. That was a pretty big mistake when the warriors were down 6, but he did come back in the last 2 minutes and got 2 dunks for them. What I really like was his defense. Muss put him on the Pacers point guard and he Pietrus guarded him full court every time down. Cliff Robinson, played great defense on Jermaine Oneal. You could tell Oneal was frustrated the whole game. Eventually both Robinson and Oneal got ejected. Foyle I think this is the first game he's looked like the old foyle. Hopefully we'll see more of that. The refs didn't do a good job officiating, at first they let a lot of things go and then in the fourth they started calling fouls on every play.
Wow, where are all the Dunleavy haters now? The guy got 20 rebounds while playing the point. He ran the offense well and found the open guy. Great game from him. J-Rich played a decent game but Artest did a great job on him. He also had a hard time staying with Reggie Miller who just ate us up tonite. Robinson played great defense on Oneal, why didn't he guard him in their first meeting? He had a bad night offensively but made up for it with his stellar D on Oneal. Pietrus played great defense and was the spark for the Warriors off the bench. He had those two impressive dunks in a row that got the Warriors going. I liked how the Warriors didn't quit even after they got down big at the half. Just shows the character of this team. Too bad they are all injured...we could have used Speedy tonight. BTW- Why didn't Dampier play in the second half? He had a pretty good first half.

Yes, he definately has the personal to trap and press. Dunleavy was great when he got the rebound and pushed the ball up the court. He makes great decisions. He knew when to dish it off and when to take it to the hole. Were the refs horrible tonight or what? They called some horrible fouls on Cheany and Cardinal. I couldn't believe it.
I did not watch the game so I can not judge Dunleavy, but I will say this. It is only 1 game. If this becomes regular game plan for Dunleavy to be a point forward, I am all for it. I think it will bring out the best in his game. He is not a post up player. He is a player that can make plays by passing, give and go, and cutting to the hoop. 20/20 is a good game by anyone's standards. I just wish I could have seen it so I could commend Dunleavy.
Oh and another thing. If Muss preaches defense so hard, why does he not play our best defensive stopper in Petrius and plays our worst defender in Dunleavy?

They let a lot stuff go early and then they started calling fouls on every play in the 4th. I think that helped the pacers a little bit because it slowed the Warriors momentum that they had.
Great game but no W. Oh wells. If the W's had only not slumped in the first half. They could've won. Damn it the 3 point shots weren't goin down. If we had shot 33% from downtown. It would've been over. Foyle and Pietrus definately turned the game around by playing some solid D. I want to see Pietrus actually ball instead of just jackin up 3 pointers and slam dunk. Taking someone 1v1 off the dribble would benice. Hey, but after all he's only a rookie and only limited playing time. Can't fault him for making some mistakes. I think in order for J Rich to become a superstar, he gotta be able to shake n bake. Take people off the dribble or have a Jordan like fadeaway shot. Not to mention jack up his freethrow percentage another 10-15% would be nice. Uncle Cliffy did a very nice job on Jermaine Oneal along with Damp. That's why he got pissed off it seeme. Oneal elbowed uncle Cliffy on the chest. Then it heated up. Don't even know why the Warriors even bothered to sign Larue, could just run Dunleavy at point. We just need uncle Cliffy and sharp shooting Custodian back in good shooting shape and the problems are gone. We could win some ballgames. The Custodian has been off with his jumpers as of late.
At least the Custodian has been getting to the line. That was important. He'll find other ways to contribute if he's had an off night. I think his main problem was shot selection. He had few shots that were about to go in and then popped out. If that one 3 pointer went in to make the game a 2 point game the arena would have gone through the roof. Oh and he almost made some mistakes with the rebounding. He should have snagged the ball rather than tipped it to other teammates. He did it twice.
