Packers Coach Mike McCarthy Takes Veiled Jab At Lions' Schwartz

    "The rivalry between the Lions and Packers isn't limited to the field — the coaches are trading barbs, as well.

    Lions coach Jim Schwartz started an exchange with Packers coach Mike McCarthy last month that is continuing through the offseason.

    Schwartz threw a verbal volley toward the Packers, who used one of their three days of mini-camp on a skeet shooting outing, hoping to have a bonding experience.

    After the Lions' last day of camp, Schwartz said: "We had no sporting clays today or no amusement parks or water parks. Work day of minicamp."

    McCarthy responded Thursday in an interview on ESPN Radio in Milwaukee:

    "Their approach is really tailored to the way they go about their business, starting with their head coach," McCarthy said. "I don't know what the problem with skeet shooting is. I thought that was probably one of the best events we've ever had here.""
