Might not be a bad pickup if we can get him cheap. I still think we should get a safety first and/or some D-Line help before we mess around with a backup QB.
You guy's may want to start to look for a starting QB before to long, to take the place of FAVRE as he may be gone after this year.
My whole thing is, I want Favre to win another ring. I don't care if we suck for five years after he retires. I'd rather see the Pack spend money to fill holes now and make the team better now. The window on winning another champsionship is going to close in a year or two anyway, for the Pack. I say take the "win now" approach and put "finding the QB of the future" on the back burner.
They should worry about it now! I cant take 2 more losses to farve, so if they win game 1 vs bears, i am on 1st plane to green bay with my a brand new sniper rifle, this has to stop, i am so sick of losing to farve.
Getting Volek now is probably a good thing Pack. He's relatively unknown and young and shouldn't command a big salary. I see your point of working on the 'now', but if they can scoop Volek up and pay him accordingly, they can concentrate on everything else. Should work out for them if they can get him to sign.
