<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>PackersNews.com Najeh Davenport, the often-injured Green Bay Packers running back, has agreed to a one-year contract to stay in Green Bay.Outside of Tony Fisher, who signed with the St. Louis Rams on Thursday, the mainstays of the Packers? backfield are back in the fold after becoming unrestricted free agents. The team resigned halfback Ahman Green to a one-year deal and fullback William Henderson to a two-year pact early in free agency.Davenport will sign the contract Monday, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The moves give the Packers a crowded backfield. Joining Green and Davenport at halfback is last year?s leading rusher, Samkon Gado.Davenport played in just five games last season, sustaining a season-ending broken right ankle against the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 9 ? his first start of the season in place of Ahman Green. In four career seasons, Davenport has played in just 39 of a possible 64-regular-season games.</div>http://www.packersnews.com/archives/news/pack_25331753.shtml

I like Davenport, why wouldn't I? I'm a Miami fan. Hopefully the Packers Running Backs can stay healthy this year though.

Davenport will sign a one-year contract, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Saturday afternoon, March 25. "Najeh will be in Green Bay Sunday night (March 26) and he'll sign the contract Monday (March 27)," Rosenhaus said. "We had several teams that were interested in him, but he really enjoys playing for the Packers and he wanted it to stay that way. He's very happy to get it squared away. It's good news."
