<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Green Bay Packers and Kansas City unrestricted free-agent wide receiver Marc Boerigter reportedly agreed to terms of a one-year contract Sunday, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Boerigter worked out for the Packers last week. He caught eight passes for 119 yards in 10 games in 2005. Boerigter sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and missed the 2004 season. He played two seasons in the Canadian Football League before signing with the Chiefs in 2002.The Packers are going with bigger receivers, recently re-signing veteran Rod Gardner, as targets in Mike McCarthy's West Coast offense. The Packers opted not to offer the 5-foot-9 Antonio Chatman a qualifying tender as a restricted free agent, and Chatman quickly signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.According to the Packers, Boerigter showed no ill effects of his knee injury during his workout in Green Bay last week."I'm very excited about him," McCarthy told the Journal Sentinel. "He had a great workout. He's a big receiver who can run. You can't have enough of those guys. He's a guy who has a chance to play all three positions."Boerigter made a splash as a rookie with Kansas City in 2002 when he caught 20 passes for 420 yards and eight touchdowns. Since then, however, he has only caught 19 passes and no touchdowns. With uncertainty surrounding the disgruntled Javon Walker and Terrence Murphy, who sustained a serious neck injury last year, the Packers likely will continue to stockpile receivers in free agency and the draft. Robert Ferguson and Donald Driver are expected to return, but Ferguson has a high salary cap number and his durability is questionable.</div> http://packers.scout.com/2/513713.html

Yeah, I read this and got very excited. I hope he can contribute right away and that his injury doesn't affect him.
