Lots of speculation coming out of Denver lately involving a variety of trades with the Packers. Denver is looking at TE Vernon Davis and is possibly looking to package its two first round picks to trade up somewhere in the top 7 to take Davis. Prime candidates for the trade are Green Bay, San Fran and Oakland... Denver is also not happy with Ashley Lelie and have been inquiring about Javon Walker. With Ted Thompson's history of trading down to get more picks, I wouldn't be surprised if things get really interesting on or before draft day when it comes to the Packers and the Broncos. Bring on the draft, already!
I agree.. Bring on the Draft!! If we can't get Mario Williams I wouldn't mind moving down. We need to rebuild.. Obviously we are and the more picks helps us get it done. We could target Chad Greenway and maybe a DB like Jimmy Williams.
If I was TT,this would be my offer to the Broncos: 1st Round Pick(5th overall) WR Javon Walker for 1st Round Pick(15th overall) 1st Round Pick(22nd overall) 2nd Round Pick(61st overall) 1st Round Pick(in 2007) OLB DJ Willams CB Darrant Williams TE Wesley Duke would they balk? yep, but you have to ask for the stars if you want to get the moon....maybe you negotiate down and you dont get DJ Williams and the 2007 1st, but it would still be a fantastic package....

As I was calling the Jags, the Seahawks called and upped the offer....they offered everything I asked for in the original trade, plus a years supply of Starbucks coffee and Microsoft Office user rights....I took it....someone call the Broncos and inform them that the Seahawks traded all those picks and players away from Walker and the 5th pick....Im sure Shanny will be pissed, but its done now....

The trades above won't happen; Denver IMO always seems to get the better end of the deal? Granted, I am using the two trades w/ the Redskins (Portis for Bailey and getting the Skins 1st rounder this year) as evidence. I am all for the donkeys having as few picks as possible. While I don't have the chart assigning compensation for picks it seems that the #5 for the 15th & 22nd seem almost equitable. If Denver throws in a 3rd next year & I were TT then I'd pull the trigger. I find it interesting that the Broncos want V Davis. I've heard they were a mile high on W. Duke.
