Who fumbled on that Vikings' touchdown? Edit: Okay, I figured out what happened using the nfl.com "play by play."

Well, the Vikings weaknesses were displayed again. No offense (although that one handed catch was gorgeous). Brad Johnson isn't good enough, and our secondary leaves some questions, although we were playing without some key players. Vikings still should have won that game - Bethel Johnson had a legit TD taken back.

From the looks of it the better team did indeed win today. The Vikings are everything you said before the year started. Childress is not a good play caller either. Even with Johnson GB's weakness is the secondary. They should of known this and should of tried to exploited it more. I thought the coaching for Minnesota was poor and I'm starting to think of the 3 NFC North new comers, McCarthy is the best.
I think one of my biggest concerns before the season is showing itself to be founded. Rather than go out and bring in a good offensive line coordinator, they decided to bring in two people to act as the o-line coach. There is no reason with the line that we have that the team should be this bad at protecting Johnson. McCarthy called a good game. Childress was vanilla in his play calls. Simply put, today Green Bay was the better team.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (vikingfan)</div><div class='quotemain'>Childress was vanilla in his play calls.</div> That in itself is why the Vikes will miss the playoffs again. I don't know what he's scared of, but personally, I think Brad Johnson can still make big throws down the field. This offense has no agression to it at all. Other than Denny Green in Arizona...this might be the worst coaching job done for a team in the NFL.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (cubuffsman78)</div><div class='quotemain'>I think Brad Johnson can still make big throws down the field.</div> I actually disagree - Brad had a few deep passes in this game. On the TD pass to McMullen, he horribly underthrew the pass - so bad that McMullen had to stop running completely and come back to the ball. Its actually very fortunate he made the catch. Later Johnson overthrew a receiver by about 10 yards. Overall I don't think he has any accuracy on the deep ball, and with our receivers he needs to be able to get it within 5 yards at least. Overall I don't think Childress is that bad of a coach, I just don't think he should be calling plays. I also think he should bring in a single offensive line coach who is proven.
This game certainly makes divsion win a cake walk for bears. once you factor in free win vs lions, thats at least 9 wins. then just go 500 vs real NFL competetion and they are 12-4. Only team that scares me now is the packers and thier momentum. If bears melt down (which seems very unlikely) then pack could catch up. Unfortunately they lost to saints and eagles, and have hurt themselves in a lot of tie breaking scenarios.

Before your jaw drops I want the Bears to have everything clinched the last game of the year so they give all their players a rest and GB gets to play the backups. I say this because at 4-5 the Pack are very much in it for the wild card and have a favorable schedule. I'm not saying they will make it but while Dallas, Philly, N.Y. Giants, Carolina, New Orleans, and Atlanta all beat up on each other, GB could slip through. GB would need to upset Seattle or New England. They take 2 of 3 with against the Lions, Jets, and 49ers and then beat the Vikings and Bears to finish 9-7. I thin 9-7 would put them maybe at #6 or at least give them a chance and it would come down to tiebreakers. So if Chicago is resting their players then the Pack should win that game. If not I don't see how they can win that game. Realistically though GB will probably win 6 or 7 games but the schedule is certainly favorable for the Packers right now and their only a game out.
^^ Like you said the Packer's shot themselves in the foot with the Saints and Eagles losses. If the Packer's can keep this momentum and beat the Patriots (no easy task) who have lost back to back games, it would leave the Seahawks, Jets, and Bears as the only teams over .500 (San Fran, Lions, and Vikes are the others) The Seahawk's may still not have Alexander or Hassleback, the Jets will be tough, as they will also be fighting for the playoffs, the Bears will be the last game of the season and may rest their starters. The Saints should win their Division, and the Eagles have a legit shot at theirs since the Giants are riddled with injuries. If that happens it will only leave the Rams who have a shot at a wild card with a tie breaker, but they're on a 4 game losing streak and will probally only make it to 8-8. So if the Packers can finsh the season 10-6 they should get a wild card spot.
