PacMan traded to Dallas for 4th rounder. If he doesn't get reinstated, we get a pick from Tennessee next year. If he does get reinstated and he plays a significant amount, we give Tenn. a conditional pick (no word on what this is).

Basically summarized, I am beyond happy with this. I wanted this from the get-go. And it finally happened.

    Nickel CB and PR solved.

    Thank you Jerruh.

This is probably going to end up being a pretty good move for the Cowboys. I'm almost positive that Pac Man will be re-instated before too long. I've had that impression for a while now.

Classy move by the Titans, by the way...making their settlement with Pac Man include a $500k payout to charity. That's just awesome. This is why the image of the NFL as an organization is unparalleled in the professional sports world. They just seem to "get it."

In Jerruh we trust. I'm glad there was no future, conditional picks, or whatever.

I'd still like to take a high CB on Saturday, but this takes some pressure off our first 3 picks. I don't know what helps our secondary more: getting Pacman Jones or losing Jacque Reeves [IMG]

edit: by high I meant any first-round talent CB, not specifically Aqib Talib. zing!

edit2: Looks like we did include a conditional pick. Well I would have preferred that the 4th would be a 5th if we're giving an additional pick, but oh well.

Look at it this way: a couple of years ago we burned a 4th rounder on a returner in Skyler Green.

PacMan is a far better returner than Green. And PacMan has the added value of being a good CB. Yeah, he has sat out a full year... but I would bet anything that Pacman sitting out a full year is still better than Jacques Reeves as a nickel CB.

I am fine with giving up a 4th rounder and a conditional 6th round draft pick next year for a guy who can be a good CB and returner.

Can't argue with those points. Oh and in case I wasn't clear, I'm happy we got him.

This might be something to think about: what effect will this have on Isiah Stanback? This guy is supposed to be a physical freak, and a promising WR/returner. If I remember correctly Jerry was quoted as saying he would get on the playing field more next season, but if Pacman can handle the return game, this really pushes Stanback to make an impact in the receiving game.

Of course then he'll also have the added competition of the new WR that comes this Saturday.

Stanback was getting looks at KR; not PR.

Pacman is probably the PR.... since his only competition is Fair Catch Crayton.

We might use Pacman on KR too..... but we've been getting good production out of Austin in that department.... and they might give Stanback a look there too....

It will be interesting to see if Stanback can add something next year.

Finally! This is our year boys! I love PacMan and what he'll bring to our Cowboys. I might get his jersey.

Jerry Jones went to the *gutter* to improve his team. Golf clap!

Pacman, a guy who instigates felony violence, surrounds himself with drug dealers, and pays extortion money after the fact.

Jerry, is Nate Newton available too?

I guess it doesn't matter *what* you do, Jerry will take you. I bet Jerry would have taken OJ Simpson had he gone through his trial now instead of then. I don't even think Al Davis would even consider signing a guy like Pacman

Yes, more than one makes a pattern. It just happened and its all fresh in our minds. Oh, and we have nothing else to talk about right about now.

You mean, you don't want to discuss Dallas trading both its 1sts and Barber for #4 again?

(Although, I would be lying if I said I didn't think the Pacman trade made it more likely.)

This might make my favorite Cowboy joke, from the 90's, relevant again.

What is Jerry Jones' main offseason concern?

Does bail count against the salary cap?

Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, Ed too-tall Jones, Troy Aikman, the Moose, Jay Novacek....

    , and Pac Man Jones.

Which of these kids does not belong here? You may have your reservations about Terrell Owens, but at least he respects human life.

In my opinion, Pacman should be doing time, long after Michael Vick. I don't even like Vick.
