Tim Stauffer and Will Venable stepped up when the San Diego Padres needed it most. Stauffer escaped a bases-loaded, no-out situation in the top of the 12th and Venable lined a game-winning single in the bottom of the inning off closer Craig Kimbrel to lift the Padres to a 3-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Saturday night.
