The San Diego Padres will call up right-hander Casey Kelly to start against Atlanta on Monday night and activate reliever Dale Thayer off the paternity list. Padres manager Bud Black says left-hander Josh Spence and right-hander Brad Boxberger will be sent to Triple-A Tucson to make room on the roster.
