(AP) -Texas, Michigan State, Maryland and St. John's will each host a regional round of the 2006 2K Sports College Hoops Classic. The matchups for the 16-team event, which benefits Coaches vs. Cancer, were announced Tuesday. The first regional will be Nov. 7-8 at College Park, Md. with New Orleans facing Vermont and Hampton at Maryland. The other regionals are: East Lansing, Mich., with Youngstown State against Central Michigan and Brown at Michigan State on Nov. 8-9; Austin, Texas, with St. Bonaventure meeting Chicago State and Alcorn State at Texas on Nov. 9-10; and New York, with Navy facing Loyola, Md. and North Florida at St. John's on Nov. 10-11. There will be a consolation and championship game on the second night of each regional. The four winners advance to the semifinals at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 16. The championship game is Nov. 17. Florida beat Syracuse 75-70 in the 2005 championship game.
