    Palmer about Kitna

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Mar 14 Geoff Hobson, of Bengals.com, reports Cincinnati Bengals QB Carson Palmer said Tuesday, March 14, he will miss his mentor, QB Jon Kitna, who signed with the Detroit Lions. In a statement issued through the team Palmer said, "I guess you could you say I have mixed emotions. I'm extremely happy for Jon and his family for the great opportunity he has there. But I also consider him irreplaceable as a player, as a teammate, and a leader in our locker room."</div>

Kitna was palmers mentor and is part of the reason palmer is what he is today

Good stuff. The more I hear from Palmer, the more I think he's a class act.

I also think the Lions got a good QB for the next several years. Finally they have someone who can throw to all those #1 WR's. [IMG]

I think kitna is gonna play a similar role he played in cincy as a transition type player.... he'll get them outta hell and then someone else will take over much like we did with palmer

    Jon Kitna= Class Act

one of the classiest players in the league, I dont think I have heard a teammate ever be disrespectful in anyway towards him.

Jon Kitna broke the Lions single season record for completions today. He also went over the 4000 yard passing mark for the season and tied his personal best of 4 TD passes in a game. He did all this with an O-line desemated with injuries.

Kitna claims this season was the most fun he's ever had as an NFL QB.

    JUST WAIT TIL NEXT YEAR!

Why what's going to happen next year?

They mentioned early on in the game versus Dallas that the Lions might draft a WR. Hours later & I'm still laughing.

At least you're not still crying over Donte's knee and Doey's ZERO Passer Rating a few weeks ago.

Life is a tragedy for those who feel and comedy for those who think.

Here's why I think nay know its funny. 1) The Lions have other pressing needs on offense i.e RB. 2)It would be a shame if they gave up on Orlovsky. Kitna IMO can hold the for another year or two 3) It would absolutely and completely confirm what total utter cementhead Millen is.

FTR, I never shed a tear over Daunte or Joey. I can't control DC's knee any more than your average Buffalo fan could w/ Willis McG's knee or BF1 can with Grossman's QBR.

a typical response from a typical Lions fan....when a fan base is so decimated by loss that they judge everyone by thier worst performances, its time to blow it up and start over....the worst orginazation in pro sports starts right at the top with the worst leadership in sports, skips the football men who are swept up in the lunacy, and runs deep at the bottom with the fan base....they should move the Lions away, if for no other reason to punish fans like Zack who is so utterly negative, it makes me vomit....

In all fairness, To Zack's query in post #24 of the Pack vs Bears thread about the Eagles & Panthers could the Lions compete in the Big 10?
