    eh, they got nothing to lose, at this point they are desperate to make the playoffs. They could be a surprise team come playoff time with Luongo on net and the vets that they have. They are deep as hell but the offense doesn't seem to get it together

    Jagr needs to hang it up. It's sad seeing an all-time great ping pong around the league

    That's not alot to give up for a guy who can still score, and for a team with a deep farm system.

    To his credit, he's 43 yrs old and in better shape than some players
    in their 20s.

    The Pitt paid a lot more than the Panthers with Winnik. Winnik is a 4th line player. Jagr is still capable of a 3rd line role. I don't really think the Panthers care about a few draft picks because they have sucked for so long, they drafted in the lottery each year. They have a ton of high skilled, young players on the verge of busting out.
