it seems kinda obvious that they werent good enough to go to the superbowl. i mean its like BF1 has said over and over again, the team is steve smith. If you can stop steve smith the game is over and seattle certainly proved that. just like the dallas game, dallas shut down smith then he was thrown out and the rest is history. I've been sayin this to my friends who are obsessed with the Panthers. Its why i've been picking against them the whole playoffs. I picked the Giants because i believed that the Giants would actually play well but that didnt happen. Plus they shadowed Steve Smith with Terrell Buckley its kinda obvious whos gonna win that matchup. The Bears decided they werent even gonna worry about Smith and play him like they were playing a regular WR. We all know that didnt work. Seattle finally stepped up and stopped Smith and it was all over. He had a terrible game and thus the Panthers lost. The Panthers have to get another WR or a running threat if they want to go to the next level. If defenses have to worry about Smith and another great WR or another great RB they'll win the superbowl.

John Fox always drafts a lot to fix his weaknesses. Like last year the o-line was weak and he drafted like 4 offensive lineman. I expect he will draft a 1st or 2nd round RB, and a Lenord Pope TE out of Georgia.

Carolina was really looking at Gabe Watson DT of Michigan at the Senior Bowl. Apparently they were the most intrested team in him from what's been reported.

your guys never use your TE you have...Magnum would have been good if you used him more...look at Cooley...redskins put him into the schemes and he was clutch this year...just the fact that they used him made him good...

Magnum is just basically a blocker. He doesnt have hardly any speed. Lenord Pope is a huge target down field, and i am really impressed with his blocking and ball skills

Panthers will most likely resign Marlon McCree, Will Witherspoon, Deshaun Foster, and Ricky Manning.

If the panthers can resign those guys, we get All-pro Kris Jenkins back from injury, and Mark Fields will likley come back this year

I doubt you resign deshaun. He is not the guy, maybe you should call up Nintendo corporation, and see if glass joe is available, he is more likely to stay on his feet for a whole year

News out of Carolina is that Stephen Davis wants to come back, but he has a huge cap #. I think Davis is over the hill, if the panthers have a shot at a good RB in free agency or in the draft they should let Davis go

good one... i almost didnt respond to this post because it was so inappropriate to the topic but i felt that i have to respond for the stupidity of the post and what little relevance it had towards the topic

the Jets are a mess even worse than the Packers its sad but true. They are 30 mill over the cap, they are gonna be a mess for a while. But did I say anything about the Jets?? noooo i was talking about the Panthers. The Jets had freakin Vinny Testaverde in that game, plus the Jets dont have a great secondary and they arent a good team. I never said the Panthers werent a good team i said they werent a superbowl team. Cover Steve Smith and they are done because they really dont have any other offensive weapons. The Panthers can beat the awful teams, Saints but i dont think if a coach actually gameplans well against Smith they are a great team.

sry VF but DPG that was one of ur stupid posts

The JETS are hurtin for certain I feel bad for them, Man if poor Chad could stay healthy they woulden't be in this predicament, I hope the Jets cut Chad and he recoops his shoulder then once the Packers discover Rodgers is a bust they sign him and boom there ya have it Chad Pennington ressurects the Packers in the Post Favre Era.

Panthers already have the young stephen davis in Eric Shelton who is 245 pounds so we dont need a goaline back. I just thinks he eats up too much cap space for us.

btw in my 2nd post i acknowledged that the Jets suck and i also said that the Panthers arent a superbowl team, i never said they sucked, i mean at least read the whole thing, all of both posts, before you post something that doesnt contribute to the conversation and just makes an argument

I've never understood why people say things like this. If your favourite team is having a down year and they get beat by most teams, then you can't talk negatively about those teams that beat them? That's the craziest thing I've ever heard. Anyone has the right to smack talk any other team if they feel like doing so.

P.S. The Falcons lost to the Packers but the Packers still suck.

Just my two cents, now I will go back to ignoring DPG's crazy posts.
