I'm surprised the NSA let him speak freely for so long before "banning" him. It should be clear to anyone here that these totally out of character apologetic messages supposedly from him are written by some defense contractor stooge in order to allay any suspicions we might have as to his safety and whereabouts. They're probably water-boarding him as I post.
There has to be a compromise to bring back PapaG. I got it. Denny, where is the S2 jail facility located? Is it too far from his relatives to visit? You can let him have a computer and post between 2 and 3:00 any day he wants.
He is ok with the banning, and realizes things got out of hand for him. Why not just let him come back when he's good and ready? it's obvious he can make a new screen name anyways. seems if he's ok with it, so should those who were having issues with the whole situation.

Ya know, even though Denny wants a board pretty much free of restraints, there really are to many personal attacks and clearly he went over the top with his. I'd like to see tighter controls for that kind of stuff. We can disagree and get heated but it needn't get too personal.
I'm generally not in favor of banning anyone. If I were a FOFH, I'd have banned PapaG the first time he hurled an insult my way. It's been really tough to find great mods who don't want to be FOFH. We're lucky we've got some great ones who just get it. As for PapaG? His schtick got pretty tiresome, but I could always ignore it or read something else and was fine with it. That it bothers other people that they'd not want to be part of the site anymore is a problem. The kind that I hope everyone would consider once in a while... I used a very old acronym. To see if anyone gets it.
