    Tuna,
I hope you don't mind me C&P'ing, but I thought this was a good post and I wanted everyone to see it. Let me know if that bothers you and I won't do it again.....

Bill said one of the most valuable things he learned, from Tom Landry
no less, was that young players that are drafted or picked up as free agents should get three years to show they belong in the NFL. Parcells said Tom told him that the first year you are lucky if most rookies can just keep up with thier helmets and find where to lineup every once in a while. The second year is just an extension of the first but the third year they have to produce or they have to be gone and you have to get someone else. Bill said he has followed that advice religously ever since. So, if I was any of the following players I would be doing whatever it takes to show I belong in the NFL:

DT - Daleroy Stewart - INCONSISTENCY IS KILLING HIM(and us)

OG - Andre Gurode - Lazyiness, penalties, immaturity, laziness, quits on plays, laziness, bad attitude, did I mention he was lazy? Its now or never for this waste of a draft pick. I hope he feels the Rogers kid we drafted breathing down his neck because thats who Bill took to replace him on the right side.

NT - Willie Blade - Continues to flash some ability, probably have to live with him till we can do better, unless something happens after June 1.

WR - Antonio Bryant - Probably safe because Bill loves his fire and the desire he has to be "in the mix" to quote Bill. Has had a case of dropsy that he will want to get rid of because having that competetive fire dont make up for catching the ball.

LE - Kenyon Coleman - Got him last year from the raiders for a draft pick this year so he will have longer to prove himself to Bill because Bill goes by what he sees and Bill has to see him play more to come to any conclusions.

LCB - Pete Hunter - Word is Bill likes Hunter and he will play alot this year. This guy is fast and has shown he can play, but can he play all the time and not just spot duty? Thats what Bill wants to know.

OT - Javier Collins - Converted from defense to offense so he gets extra time, this is his fourth year actually so this is it for him. He did some nice fill in work but times up.

OT - Kurt Vollers - Servicable player, can play gaurd or tackle. Same as the others its now or never. Bill goes by what he sees.

OG - Tyson Walter - Has played alot and done a good job. This guy can play every position including center, a talent that will keep him in Dallas a long time.

FS - Roy Williams - Quickly becoming one of the most feared and respected players in the league. Fast for his size and fearless, he doesnt care about hurting himself so you know he doesnt care if he knocks the crap out of you. Goes out of his way to lay a lick on the ball carrier. Prefers to deliver a big hit rather than go for the ball. Needs to have a clause in his contract to help pay all the fines he gets for making big hits on ball carriers. I live for the day TO catches a ball and RW lays his A** out like the slimy eel he is. This guy is a COWBOY FOR LIFE.

The only reason some of these guys would make it past year 3 is because of depth problems getting someone else in.

Williams is a gimme. Bryant will be around for awhile yet. Walter is a good backup. We will find out this year on Hunter, I think. He has shown some promise. Gurode has the talent but not the drive so far. The rest are unknowns as you said.
