<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Chicago Tribune - Guard Jannero Pargo has accepted the Bulls' one-year qualifying offer, and agent Mark Bartelstein said the former Robeson High standout will sign a contract Friday or Monday. Pargo will make $875,000. The New York Post reported Thursday that the Knicks' sign-and-trade proposal for center Eddy Curry, rejected weeks ago by Bulls general manager John Paxson, would have sent Tim Thomas and Michael Sweetney to the Bulls. Curry is expected to accept the Bulls' one-year qualifying offer and has until late Saturday to do so. The Bulls haven't ruled out extending the deadline, according to a source.</div> Source
Good to here it is officially done. I think Pargo could potentially be an option to start at some point in the season if an injury occurs or Skiles wants more scoring in the starting lineup. I think that a Duhon and Pargo rotation at point guard along with a Hinrich, Gordon, and Basden rotation at shooting guard can be successful, and provide us with offensive and defensive intensity. We can have one good scorer and one good defender in the backcourt for most of the game with a rotation like that.
I really like the bulls and I really like Pargo so I approve of this move while I dont. I like it because the Bulls get a great scorer and a good PG who brings his game when he's given time and I dont like it because Pargo doesnt get much time here to show what he can really do. Eddie Basden wont find much time either here, he's a 2 and he's a great defensive player but with Gordan, Hinrich, Duhon and Pargo already in the backcourt how's he gonna find time?

He can play small forward or shooting guard. Often times when watching Bulls games last year Skiles liked to go with small lineups as well with Deng at the power forward slot and Chandler at center if that happens we can play Basden at the three. I think that Basden will find playing time here and their don?t know if he will average over twenty minutes a game, but he will get a shot to show what he can do Skiles gives everyone that. Just ask Lawrence Funderburke, Harrington, and even Pargo in the playoffs.
Basden is capable of playing SF but like I said its not the smartest thing to play your players out of position when they perform much better in there regular spot. Playing 3 wouldnt hurt, but Basden at 6'5" is a decent offensive player and an amazing defensive player so he shouldnt have problems playing it but I still would prefer to see him get a lot of time, either him or Pargo should get some time this season.
Yeah, Pargo is just another piece to this team which makes it sucessful..He brings some range which is needed..Seeing how we dont have any 3 Point Specialists...I like how deep we are at PG/SG positions...I just wonder how Skiles will cut up the minutes for all these guys and keep them all happy...Last season it worked by will it this season?
