The Los Angeles Kings have re-signed left wing Scott Parse to a two-year contract following his solid rookie season.

The Kings announced the deal Wednesday.

Parse had 11 goals and 13 assists in 59 games with the Kings this past season. His plus-13 rating was the best among rookie forwards in the NHL in 2009-10.

The Kings' sixth-round pick in 2004 began the season with Los Angeles' AHL affiliate before securing an NHL roster spot in late October.
