Chad Dawson (29-1, 17 KO’s) lost to WBC light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal (26-1, 16 KO’s) tonight by an 11 round technical decision in a failed attempt to recapture the World Boxing Council light heavyweight title at the Bell Centre, in Montreal, Canada. Dawson threw punches sparingly, saving them as if he was afraid to lose something by letting them go. In the meantime, Pascal built up an overwhelming lead on the scorecards going into the 11th round. In that round, Dawson had an exhausted Pascal looking hurt when Dawson was cut over the eye by a head butt. It was too nasty of a cut for the fight to be allowed to continue.
