    To a minor league deal. Went 2-4 with a homerun in his first game at Fresno yesterday. PCL is notoriously a poor pitching league bit its encouraging to see.

    With him signed and Buster called up I reckon DeRosa is out for a loooong time.

    Through 4 games hes hitting .357 (5 for 14) with a double, a homerun, and 6 RBI, 2 BB. John Bowker was just sent down and Burrell is likely to get called up Friday @ Pittsburgh.

    I was really baffled by this signing but obviously it turned out to be a good one, especially with DeRosa's injury and Rowand's continued struggles.

    Yep, hes looking like Pat the Bat again in the NL. Hitting for power and for average, getting on base. Wouldn't be surprised if hes an every day player pretty soon if he keeps it up.
