Miami Heat president Pat Riley wants his team to get younger. During a Friday conference call with the media, Riley said that the Heat's draft selection of speedy point guard Norris Cole is part of the organization's offseason strategy to get younger and faster heading into next season. "There's going to be two roster spots left, maybe three, that we want to save to make sure that when free agency comes, that we have an opportunity to fill them with young, energetic, veteran players," Riley said. which is it? young players or veteran players? it looked to me that the heat needed a couple of older guys in there against the mavs to better judge what the team should be doing.
It'll be interesting to see what happens when they get someone similar to Tyson Chandler. He and Haslem would be great garbagemen who can play D.
You really don't understand the Heat then. Mike Bibby had the worst offensive numbers for a starter on any Finals Team, ever. And he's a poor defender. Mike Miller has thumb surgery for both thumbs, Haslem missed about 60+ games. This team is old and needs to get young, in other words we don't need Derek Fisher trash and Spoelstra slowing us down with his terrible lineups. James Jones fucked up his foot and didn't play in the Finals. Big Z had the worst +/- Differential in the playoffs, dude pay some more attention. We need to get YOUNGer.
I'll take a Chandler-type player but Haslem is just another guy. Haslem is an undersized defender with poor offensive numbers and he looks old.
