<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Patience behind shopping plans Shaping roster won't be rush job By Marc J. Spears Denver Post Staff Writer Now that the Nuggets have landed their big free-agent fish and missed out on a smaller one, they are going to be patient while trying to hook the next free one. General manager Kiki Vandeweghe said nothing is imminent with free agents, but said he talked recently with agent Dan Fegan about re-signing swingman Rodney White. "We are going to try to improve our team," Vandeweghe said Sunday. "Sometimes it doesn't happen right away. Obviously, I'd want it to happen right away for the assurances. But we'll get a couple of guys." White averaged 7.5 points and 2.3 rebounds last season in 13.7 minutes per game. The Nuggets did not take his $2.4 million option for this season to clear salary-cap space for the summer. Denver would like to add a strong perimeter defender, and White, Nuggets guard Voshon Lenard and Nuggets free-agent guard Jon Barry are considered more offensive-minded. </div> Link
I dont think Rodney White will help them too much but hey itll help. The Nuggets have already made their big off season move. The rest of the moves will be minor.
The Nuggets should be nearly done with their offseason acquisitions. They just need to build around the duo of Melo and Martin - to provide players who could compliment their games. With those two along with Boykins, Camby, Nene, Miller & co., the Nuggets are going to be a great team. Playoffs are defiently in the picture again this year, but possibly expect a higher seed.
