that would be cool. he would be able to show jason collins what a center is supposed to do. i really doubt it would happen though. he like jeff van gundy and he is helping yao down there in houston. i could only see him coming up here if he has a shot to become the nets head coach in a few years. i don't see a reason for patrick to leave houston. of course unless he doesn't like it down there for some personal reason or something. i would welcome him here, i also liked him as a knick, and thats probably the only knick i've liked. hopefully he could help the nets win a championship and not be able to win one for the knicks that would be sweet. (yet we know he didnt have the best of help(some years had nice cast), but he still had a stellar career).

"The Nets offered me a good position," Ewing said over the telephone yesterday, "but I didn't think at this point in time it was the right move for me to make." Ewing, who completed his first season as an assistant coach with the Houston Rockets, spoke with Knicks president Isiah Thomas three weeks ago about possibly rejoining the Knicks. However, there are no vacancies on Lenny Wilkens' staff, and Ewing is reluctant to take a front-office position with an undefined role. The last thing Ewing wants is to become a glorified mascot for the franchise. Also, Ewing has said on several occasions that his goal is to become an NBA head coach, and his chances could be hurt if he moves into the management side of basketball. </div> I guess not.
like i said, no reason for him to move. i think the only reason we made him an offer was b/c he playin in the tri-state area and maybe the nets thought he would like to come back up here. but he obviously made the right move. he has everything he needs in houston. hes with jvg, working with yao,on an improving franchise. he is learning from one of the best coaches and he wouldnt really be learning here in NJ.
