Re: Patrick O'Bryant done for the season <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Mercury News -It appears that Warriors center Patrick O'Bryant's rookie NBA season has reached an early end.Warriors Coach Don Nelson indicated Wednesday that O'Bryant, the ninth overall pick last summer, probably would not be recalled from his assignment with the Bakersfield Jam before the NBA Development League season concludes April 14. Golden State would have three regular-season games remaining at that point.O'Bryant, the only NBA lottery selection to receive the D-League treatment, is averaging 6.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in seven games with the Jam but has fouled out twice and shot just 40 percent.``I told him if he goes down to the D-League and isn't a dominant player, there should be red flags all over the place, and he should be the first to notice,'' Nelson said.``He's not only not dominating, he's not playing very well. He's a long-term project. I really liked him the first week of training camp, but I assumed there would be great progress. He hasn't gotten better one bit.``I'd like to go to dinner with him, but I wouldn't like to put him in the game I'm coaching.''</div>Patrick O'Bryant needs to get his act together, he was blessed with great length, agility, and soft hands. He needs to utilize his strengths and play within his game.
Re: Patrick O'Bryant done for the season Wow this was posted over a month ago, I had no clue O'Bryant was even in the D-League not to mention sucking it up there. He does need to get his act together, he seemed to have the total package in college.
Re: Patrick O'Bryant done for the season Even if P.O. Box 26 (haha) does get better, he'll NEVER fit in an offense like Nellie's. He's not a run and gun big, he's not a guy to run the length of the floor with the likes of Baron, Monta, J-Rich, Mickael, etc. He needs to be in a half-court set.
Re: Patrick O'Bryant done for the season O'Bryant has been with the Warriors for two weeks. In has last 6 games POB averaged around 15 points, 11 rebounds, 55 field goal, and 2 blocks in the D-League.

Re: Patrick O'Bryant done for the season I don't know what the heck the Warriors were thinking when they drafted him. He had a couple of good college games - the media hyped him up - and then he was drafted in the lottery. Waste of pick in my opinion.
Re: Patrick O'Bryant done for the season Ya I agree with PFF. If they don't recall him then that lotto pick sure was a waste. But who knows he might pull a Pape Sow sooner or later. But I say give him some time down there and see how he does until next season and over the summer.
Re: Patrick O'Bryant done for the season I like O'Bryant as a project. He's atlhetic, long, he can shoot the ball. He needs some fire under his ass though. I say take him to Mexico and bring Bell Peppers to our game everyday
