'THE BIG BOO' CROWD HISSES KANYE WEST Fri Sep 09 2005 10:30:28 ET The chart topping hip hop rapper star who used a network hurricane fundraiser to charge "George Bush doesn't care about black people" was loudly and lustily booed during last night's NFL kickoff show. The appearance of Kanye West, who was beamed into the Boston stadium via remote from Los Angeles, received a strongly negative response from the crowd. "The boos were thunderous and lasted for much of his number," reports the BOSTON GLOBE. ABC cut away and "hid" the boos from TV viewers.
Hopefully, people are starting to recognize the musicians that only take a political stand when they have new albums out. Has anyone heard from the Dixie Chicks? Of course not, they don't have new product to peddle. I wish the NFL would just do away with music related events. If I want to see a musical performance, I turn to a music station. Most of the time, the artists are just lip-sincing their songs anyway. It isn't worth watching.
Kanye West deserves to get booed for being such a uninformed and biased nimrod. Have to agree w/ Dale that all this musical celebration is fluff and has little if anything to do w/ the actual game. p.s. I lost a little respect for Ozzy last night wearing that Pats jersey,
