to the tune of 17-0. No turnovers, must be the refs Its official, patriots prove they are still better than broncos. Gratz to the patriots fans
Why didn't Belichick challenge on that last series? Doug Gabriel made a great catch with his toes in bounds for a first down. Could have at least gotten a 3 attempt and an onside kick attempt out of it. Not much, but stranger things have happened. Anyone else see the replay?

I'm just shocked that the Patriots didn't give the Broncos a better game than that on their homefield. I really did pick the Patriots to win the game. (Yahoo! PickEm League)
:listening: Ok I'm ready to face the music. Obviously the Patriots aren't nearly as good as I thought. I was disappointed to see them go away from the run so early. I know Dillon went out, but the game was still in hand prior to the Walker touchdown. The defense played well despite giving up over 100 yards on the ground. There just isn't enough cohesiveness with these new WRs to sustain any lengthy drives. To borrow the phrase from a former Red Sox & future HOF pitcher the Broncos are clearly our daddy's. :surrender:

The running stats were clearly the difference in this one. Dare I say it we got out coached last night.

His toes did touch in bounds, but it didn't appear that he had possession of the ball (you can see him juggle the ball a little after he goes out of bounds). My first reaction was that Belichick should have challenged, but I think he would have lost the challenge if he did.

The game last night was horrible and Denver manhandled us like a bunch of red-headed step children. No excuses. Seriously, there was no intensity at all on the Patriots side, not even in the stands, lol. EVER. I even thought I heard crickets a couple times. Brady looked like he had just lost his family in a car wreck, even before the game. Belichick looked like he was ready for bed after the 3rd quarter as if there was no way the Pats could pull it off. If he thought that, he was right. The Patriots played horrible football last night even though they didn't turn it over. Denver outplayed the Pats in all areas and proved that they are definitely the better team. As John Madden said "Denver has the Patriots' number". I couldn't agree more and I apologize for thinking that the Patriots are better than they are and that they beat themselves twice last year. I was dead wrong. The Patriots showed their true colors last night and I have finally seen the light. Seriously though, is Brady about to kill himself or something? My friend didn't look quite that suicidal even after he lost both of his parents.
A little humilty goes such a long way. I just want to give the Patriot fans a big ole hug right now. Well, not really, but I might take you out for happy meals if you lived a little closer. Seriously, I wouldn't take one game to heart too much. I do think the Patriots will bounce back and improve. They are still my pick to win the AFC East. You probably will get killed by the Bengals next week, but thinks should pick up after that. You still have two games against the Dolphins and they still look as lost as ever.
The Patriots will still win the AFC East becuase the Dolphins are not good....They are on pace to allow 80 sacks this season, which means Culpepper, Harrington, and Lemon should all be on IR before the season is over....I wouldnt be surprised to see Vick play some QB this season....in summation, I end with a quote from "the Life Aquatic" and main charachter Steve Zissou, "God Damn, Im sick of these Dolphins"....
The following is taken from The Boston Globe: "The game was scheduled to be broadcast early this morning (Monday) in Beijing and one could easily see why several million Chinese might not give a damn. Given this sample of American football, new viewers in Asia might prefer something more along the lines of a Jerry Lewis Film Festival." LMFAO!!! I doubt China wants the Pats to come over and play in their country after that, lol.

I cant help but wonder if this admittance was setup by a farve deal.
Another fun fact from the Hartford Courant: "The Broncos, the only team that has dominated the Patriots in recent years, have won five of the last six meetings. The only game the Patriots won, 30-26 on a last-minute Brady-to-Givens pass in Denver in 2003, came when Plummer was out with a broken foot and the Broncos started third-stringer Danny Kanell. " This just keeps getting better and better for us.

Can't remember) and won the Super Bowl that year so I guess miracles can happen. I feel different about this game though because it supposedly meant so much to Brady and the guys. If they showed us how fired up they can get for a game last night, I am in for a long season full of headaches as a Patriots fan. If we're going to take the AFC East then we'll have to improve a lot and FAST. I feel sorry about ever talking down on the Dolphins now. Yeah they have room to improve, but we do too. I don't know if I'll watch the Cincy game unless I am just piss drunk and don't even know what is going on, lol. Maybe I should try to be optimistic though, and realize that Denver is the only team that has pretty much completely owned us as of late. IOW, there is hope against Cincy but not much. I can't think of any other team that has that kind of record against us since 2000 but if you can find one, please correct me.
If the Pats can't run the ball then they have nothing to fall back on until these WRs get on track. And where are the TEs? Just very frustrating to watch that offense last night.

I don't expect things to change either. I just hope we don't make the playoffs and then have to play Denver again, lol. I'm not too worried now though, because making the playoffs seems unlikely to me. I still can't get over how dull and out of it Brady seemed last night. I think he may have some mental issues or something. Maybe he needs some Prozac.
We will all end up being wrong, the Jets will win the damn division....it looks like 8 wins might take it....

Just very frustrating to watch that offense last night.</div> Like they say "If you can't run the ball or stop the run, you won't win". We didn't win. Nor did we run or stop the run. I hope Dillon will be okay because we can't afford to not have a running game right now. I'm not talking down on Maroney but he is a rookie and he can't be expected to be a veteran right away. I'm not blaming the WRs too much though because they have talent. The issue is that Brady doesn't trust them so he throws passes out there that nobody can catch except the fans. Talk about off target. Buffalo, New York, and now Denver have all seemed to rattle the hell out of Brady. I agree about the TEs, what the hell is going on there? We drafted them for a reason, at least I thought we did. What is so bad about the short little dink and dunk offense that has been successful in the past? Those short passes are very hard to defend as evidenced by Brady going 9-9 passing during that lone TD drive. Is the problem with the OC also? I know Josh McDaniels is no Charlie Weis but damn, what is happening to the offense? It is frustrating to be a Patriots fan right now. I'm not sure which is worse, being a fan of a team that has had little success and continues to do so, or being a fan of a team that has had much success and is now having very little? This sucks.
