According to Grizzlies.com forum, Pau will be sitting out for two weeks with a foot injury. This is bad news!
It's official ... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Memphis placed leading scorer and rebounder Pau Gasol on the injured list with an injured left foot before Tuesday night's game against the Orlando Magic. It marked the first time Gasol has been placed on the injured list in his four-year career. The 7-foot forward missed three games earlier this season with a sprained right ankle. Gasol is averaging 18.9 points and 8.2 rebounds in almost 34 minutes a game for Memphis. In the Grizzlies' Jan. 19 win at Phoenix, Gasol scored five points, breaking a string of 103 consecutive games in double figures. </div> Source The Grizzlie activated Ryan Humphrey to fill the roster.
I just hope that somewhere Jerry West is being slapped for trading Gooden and Giricek for Miller. Anyway, as I said in the Posey thread, we're very deep. We can overcome these type of injuries. We absolutely crushed Orlando without Gasol last night; Swift and Wright really stepped up for us.
well it seems the Grizz are fine without him, big win over the Suns.. much respect to Memphis.. hell of a team.
Does anyone have any info on when Gasol will be back? I assume he'll be in the lineup for the Timberwolves on the 8th, but who knows.
Have no fear, Ryan Humphrey the Irish is here. I always though he would be a good player in the league...like a Corliss Williamson type player with his type of numbers. He hasn't been given the minutes in his career, but I'd like to see him play some productive minutes with Pau out, then maybe he can solidify a role on the team (not as a bench warmer).
