The Hornets' point guard has already received a guarantee from the USA Basketball committee that ensures he'll be selected as a member of the Olympic team, multiple sources with knowledge of the situation say. </div>

They could not have made a better choice when Jason Kidd and Steve Nash finally retire Chris Paul will be right there to pick up the torch as the next great point guard of our generation. By the way he should have been an all star this season, and will be one next year.

Agreed, maybe he`ll get some more international credit from the olympics.

Best PG to come out since Jason Kidd. And we've had alot of very good PG's rise to stardom in this league, but not is as talented and gifted as this kid. He's putting it together at such a young age and his maturity in the game is amazing for a player of his age and experience. Its easy to realize now why he was touted as the best PG since Jason Kidd, in HS.

If they already guaranteed Paul, shouldn't they already have the team picked out even before the camps and try-outs for it..?
