It's obvious to me that PA knows his health isn't good. While I know a new owner couldn't take the team from Portland, I still get an uneasy feeling.

I know there has been speculation that Larry Miller will take over ownership, and I even heard Terry Porter still has investors lined up. Those would be good choices. Ideally, Phil Knight would step in and buy them from whoever Paul leaves them to.

Uncle Phil owning this team would be a great great thing.

I don't think Phil Knight has shown any interest whatsoever in owning another professional sports franchise; he's already got a football, basketball and track team to worry about ... whoops!

No way Phil owns a professional team. Too much of a conflict in interest with NBA players. Not leagally but in his eyes it would not be wise.

Maybe Paul will leave 500 million to the new owner only to be used for player salaries...................... The Blazer fans should fall under philanthropy

The Oregonian has demonstrated more desire than anybody to control the team. They should buy it.

The team hasn't floundered. But newspapers are going the way of the dodo, because of free internet news.

I'm glad you love it. After papers are gone, basketball will still be with us.

WTF are you talking about? I don't give a fvck about the newspaper bit.

No. Tell us how the Oregonian derailed the Blazers.

    C'mon do it.

Tell us again about how the small time newspaper is at fault for all the Blazers recent woes.

    DO IT!!!!

And WTF are you talking about? What recent woes? The team is financially stronger than the Oregonian, which has about a decade left to live.

And who is "us"? Do you speak for the board, or are you multiple personality?

I order you to find where I have ever said that the paper is responsible for woes. I simply have said that the paper hates the team and is a perpetual critic. Canzano thinks he can make the decisions better than Paul Allen, so I said, have the paper buy it then, if they want to hate Paul Allen.

I order you to find where I said it. C'mon do it. Tell us again. DO IT!!!! This is an order!

what the fuck are YOU talking about?

I'm not comparing the financial stability of newspapers to the Blazers.

You said a week or so ago it was the Oregonians fault for the Blazer implosion after Bob. They demanded changes and got them or something along those lines.

    You blamed the paper.
