The Hornets played their first preseason game Sunday at their new temporary home against the Denver Nuggets.

"The brand new court is great and there seems to be a buzz around the place," Paul said.

As part of its agreement with the Hornets, Oklahoma City was required to purchase a new court. It made sure the "Oklahoma City" prominently would be displayed; it's placed around the Hornets' logo at center court.

"(Hornets players ) were commenting how nice the floor and locker rooms were," Hornets coach Byron Scott said.

The Hornets had to temporary relocate to Oklahoma City this season after New Orleans Arena was damaged from flooding caused by Hurricane Katrina.

Owner George Shinn and NBA commissioner David Stern both said the Hornets will return to New Orleans, possibly for next season. The Hornets also could play their final three home games at the Arena in the spring. </div>
