So much, in fact, that the Hornets' point guard and reigning rookie of the year confidently says the new additions should transform the Hornets into a playoff team next season. "I think anything short of the playoffs for us next year will be a disappointment," Paul said. "I felt like we should have made it this year. Next year we'll definitely come in a lot more hungry, and we'll have guys who have been in the playoffs." Paul, appearing Thursday at the Vegas Summer League before the start of next Wednesday's Olympic team tryouts, sang the praises of newest teammate Peja Stojakovic and soon-to-be teammates Bobby Jackson and Tyson Chandler.</div> Source
they are going to be crazy. I see tyson breaking out this year honestly and i see peja struggling though. but hopefully its a great year.
They nearly made the playoffs last season with hardly any help for Paul and West. Mason struggled, Brown was injured, and Smith was on the bench. With the addition on Peja (if healthy) it gives the Hornets three solid offensive options. Then you added Chandler who is probably in the best position ever in his career he just had his first child, and is dedicated to bulking up this summer. They also added two lottery pick caliber big men in Armstrong and Simmons as well as Bobby Jackson. They will at the very least make the playoffs next season.
