Both are gritty, tough, and 'undersized' for a PF. Statistically, Millsap is the better player, but they both play a lot alike and obviously not everything is about stats. What do you guys think?

I'd go with Millsap because he's not just a good rebounder in the NBA, he was a fantastic rebounder in college. also, because Millsap has a little more range than Maxiell.

Maxiell. He has the potential to he dominant with his big body and athletic ability. Millsap seems more like a role player to me.

Oh I like this comparison :happy0144: Two gritty undersized power forwards who didn't get enough cred in the draft...to tell you the truth, I'd have either, but Millsap has the edge in this comparison because of his rebounding in college.

I havn't seen alot of Maxiell, so my answer wouldn't be that fair...But I'd say Millsap...He doesn't have alot of offensive skill, but he's gritty, and he's a banger inside. He plays tough defense, grabs boards really well for his height, and he's a decent shot blocker too....for a rookie...

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>while I agree Millsap is a better player, what does your ability to rebound in college have to do with how good a player you are?</div>It means that he has had a lot of experience and has obviously gotten the technique down good enough to be a good rebounder, which 1-ups him over Maxiell in terms of potential and skill. We don't know how good either of the guys will be.

Hmm. This is very hard. It's hard not to be biased toward the LA Tech Millsap. I love both players' mentalities. They both play very hard and don't make excuses about their size. I think Millsap works better in the Jazz system than Maxiell in the Pistons', but I think Maxiell has the edge on individual talent. I'd have either, but I'll give the slight edge to Millsap.

Millsap is slightly more polished, and just an all-around smarter player at this point. I don't see much from Maxiell but dunks. He seems like the one that's gonna turn out to be a role player at best. An energy guy off the bench like he's being used now mostly.

I'd take Millsap over Maxiell, but I like both of them. While Maxiell is more explosive/athletic, Millsap is an outstanding rebounder and he really is an underrated defender. He gives his all every night, and while Maxiell does the same, I'd take Millsap. Maxiell is the better athlete, but Maxiell is the better basketball player.
