<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Pierce, suffering from a stress reaction that has confined him to a therapeutic boot for the last two weeks, had his foot examined by Dr. Brian McKeon yesterday. The Celtics team physician decided that Pierce needs another week before the boot is removed.

The team has also set up a vague target date of around Jan. 19 for Pierce?s return, according to coach Doc Rivers, though it could be pushed back.

?That?s the earliest,? Rivers said of a date that features a home game against Sacramento, followed the next night by a road game in Washington. ?It could be longer than we anticipate. That is not a guaranteed date.?</div>
Wow, January 19th at the earliest, huh? That's longer than anybody expected with this injury. Greg Dickerson, during the game last night, reported this as well and he also said that Pierce will be involved in some of the coaches meetings, so that's interesting. I'm happy to hear that he's walking without crutches now, so at least it's improving. But man, I miss Pierce, GET WELL SOON!

This sucks a lot, but hey, any time you get to hear some sort of prognosis its better than when you dont.
