<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Last month, mjd told you the Celtics brass didn't want their star Paul Pierce to play for Team USA this summer. Danny Ainge got his wish: Pierce won't help the U.S. squad get an Olympic berth this summer in Vegas, according to the Boston Globe's Peter May. But Pierce's absence also means The Truth won't be on the 2008 Olympic team, said Team USA chief Jerry Colangelo. "By not playing this summer, he is pretty much eliminated from playing in the Olympics. It would be hard to make the case that you should play in the third year after missing the first two. He understands that." </div> Link That sucks
Well if thats his attitude i wouldnt want him on the team. Team USA, has great players, a good young core. Paul Peirce dosnt need to bring negativity, becuase how would he expect to ge ton it with it already having so many superstars. Maybe he'll get a Candian citizinship and join Canada...(lol)

I don't believe that it is really Pierce's or Ainge's choice to make in this situation. I really don't think USA Basketball wants Pierce involved. Everyone really soured on him with his last appearance, and I really don't think anyone wants him on the squad at all.
