Does anyone find it concerning that $57 million in payroll is being eaten up by Stanton and two relievers Britton and Chapman? This is very bad management when it makes DJ negotiations difficult and also prevents the Yankees from adding a quality starter behind Cole.
Excellent fleece job by Jeter chumping Cashman to take on Stanton. Yep those salaries are couse for concern.Damn little worthwhile performance oout of that group makes it even worse. Time for steinbrenner to sell the team to a caring ownership group that will get rid of Cashman and Boone.
With covid -19 speeding like a bee swarm, who would want to invest billions in this venue, at least now?. It would better to invest in companies that make products for the pandemic cycle.
12/13/2020 was my admission date to a stay I did not want diagnosed with Pneumonia, COVID Flunk,COPD and a dash of Cancer so I support harnessing the Pandemic as a priorty above all. I am damn lucky to be back with the Beagle and the Bride knowing that life will go. Medical perssonel whom I questioneed about the ne vaccne were a bit on the wait and see side so lets just hope it works.
Glad you recovered and hope your feeling better 55. Most of my family including my year and a half year old grandson got the covid this year. I've escaped so far and at 66 with underlying health issues will be taking the vaccine as soon as its available to me!
Thank yoou amd continue to stay safe, we need the Ol Guard Yankee Fansback out this season to hope some more possitive franchise may occur.
Michael, you been through much. Time to concentrate on getting better as best you can. Stay positive. And know we are all thinking of you.
Never liked the Stanton deal...one dimensional player who never could stay healthy....over-paid version of Adam Dunn.
Sure you are right and I am very positive on the reactions from my Jill and Jane Yankee Fans. Now back to my originl baseball post, get an ownership that will make moves applicable to a championship team. Cashman once told Jeter in his final contract negotiations that he (Cashman ) was paying for performance. Jeter paid back Casman well on that deal. If these other teams can find high production at reasonable costs so can the Yankees. They just need to get the right man inthere.
