Payton and Kobe..best backcourt of all-time? It's got to be one of the best..not only on offence..but on defence...team guards are going to have problems when they have to score pass the glove and kobe...interesting
agreed...possibly the best back court of all time, on both sides of the ball...and fox, mailman and shaq daddy down low is some pretty damn good interior d as well...lakes will be an amazing defensive team all this if they can all play together...sometimes you cant just throw a bunch of talent together and automatically win...look at portland. but im sure phil can make it work
i dont think it'll be one of the best of all time.. but it'll be pretty damn good. as for their defense, i dont expect it to be a whole lot better. Malone isn't a terrific defender. When the Bucks signed GP, they expected their team's defense to get better, but it didn't. Keep that in mind.
Payton and Kobe beats out Harper and Jordan. Just because it has Jordan's name in it doesn't mean it was the best.
This is gonna be by far the best backcourt in the NBA next year. Both offensively and defensively. I mean, in all likelyhood, Payton's probably gonna be gettin about 15 ppg, throw that in with Kobes 27-30 ppg, who's gonna stop em. And to top it all off, two first team all defenders. This backcourt is gonna be a pain for any team in the league. And, to top it off with a frontcourt of Malone and O' Neal, that's a surefire mix for another NBA championship.
Cousy/ Havlicek/ sharman was the best backcourt of all time. All HOFers and they won 5 champions together and then won 4 more after cousy retired
i think that it is going to be tough backcourt on both ends of the floor but i dont think the best of all time
The defensive end is going to be great, imagine that you have to get through the Glove or Kobe is hard...

I was thinking about the Celtics past rosters, but the backcourt of Kobe/GP beats them out. GP's career points and assist numbers are nearly identical to The Houdini's, and Payton is also better on the defensive end. Kobe already has more talent and a better all around game than Hondo. Though Hondo was the King of Hustle, Kobe's talents just outshine Hondo's.
They arent better together than cousy and havlicek. Havlicek was just as good a SG as kobe he just couldnt do all the dunking stuff. Cousy was an underrated defender and best of all they knew how to work together and yes Sharman and shayes did their share of work in the backcourt. that was the best backcourt combo ever
