Garnett fined $7,500 and Peeler suspended 2 games. I didn't think Peeler would have gotten more than a one game suspension.
Peeler should be kicked out of the rest of the playoffs. And the Kings should be finned $500,000. Why? Here is why. The Kings know that all that stands in their way is KG and what better way to get KG out of the seies by putting in a scrub and having him pull some hockey trick on him. Two bad for the Kings, their plan didnt work out and they will lose game 7.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Emo:</div><div class="quote_post">Very fair by the league. Where will the bench production come from besides Brad Miller Kings fans? </div>They have proved they can do it without a deep bench so far this series. As long as they stay out of major foul trouble, they should be fine.
Again, staying out of foul trouble. Minnesota knows the lack of depth in Sacramento's bench and I can guarantee Flip Saunders will make sure guys are going to the basket to create fouls and shoot free throws all night. Minnesota has to do this and do it early to establish itself and make Sacramento play on its heels.
I thought Peeler would be required to go to anger management or something. Afterall, the first time he knocked down Kevin Garnett he was trying to knock down Wally Sczerbiak. Very hatefilled guy. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Peeler should be kicked out of the rest of the playoffs. And the Kings should be finned $500,000. Why? Here is why. You seem to be forgetting the whole Brad Miller incident. The Timberwolves sent in a scrub simply to get Brad Miller mad. When Miller go mad, he got in a physical altercation and was ejected. Peeler's attacks were not aimed at Kevin Garnett either. They were aimed at Wally Sczerbiak, but he accidentally hit KG first. Then on the next trip down the floor KG hit him so by instinct he retaliated. There's no under the table stuff going on there.
If you honestly believe that Flip Saunders sent in Darrick Martin to get Brad Miller thrown out of the game, then you have absolutely no respect for the T-Wolves organization, Flip Saunders, Kevin McHale, etc. Flip Saunders would never directly tell Darrick Martin to go in and make sure he took out Brad Miller (nor would any NBA coach I would think) If you watch the replay of that incident, you can clearly see that Martin was trying to get around a screen. Miller took it otherwise and retaliated.

Usually the screener protects the jewels by having his pelvis behind the arms. And Brad Miller goes and knees (don't act like you didn't see it) Martin while he's on the floor.

I lost that respect after they thought it'd be a good idea to cheat and give Joe Smith an illegal contract. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Flip Saunders would never directly tell Darrick Martin to go in and make sure he took out Brad Miller (nor would any NBA coach I would think) </div> I was just trying to say that if you feel Peeler was sent out to get Garnett out, then you should also feel that Martin was sent out to take down Miller.

Seriously Wave, do you believe in fairy tales? Do you honestly believe that that does not happen more often in the NBA? Do you also believe that some college players are not paid? I, for one, do not on all three accounts.

It's unlike college. In college, there are certain programs which you can just look at and tell they cheated. More often than not though, those teams don't go too far in the tournament anyway. Why do you love the NBA if you believe that there's so much cheating going on?
It was a stupid move by Peeler but I think the Kings can get by without him,he wasnt doing that much coming off the bench. But if Bufford played like he did last game the Kings will be fine when it comes to the dept of the bech situation.

His ability to make the three and provide relief for Christie and Bibby will be missed.

It's sad, but it's like that. Do you have any idea why Team USA refuses to be tested for substance use at the Olympics? Hmm, just think about that...
