<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">BELGRADE, Serbia-Montenegro (AP) - Peja Stojakovic wants out of Sacramento. Stojakovic said Thursday he told Kings president of basketball operations Geoff Petrie he wants to be traded from the only NBA team he has played for. "I think the change would be good for the team and for myself," Stojakovic told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. "That's the only explanation you're going to get from me." </div> STUNNING.... Peja Demands Trade
well i've said before that the kings are having a pretty bad off-season and others have presented acceptable counter arguments, but now it seems to be really going down the toilet. say what you want about his playoff performance, but he kept the team in the competition during the whole of the regular season. if the trade goes through, the kings need to get someone really good in return or they will depend way too much on cwebb's health and surely that's not something they would want to do.
well i think peja would fit well with the diesal and wade. But who could the heat give to settisfy the kings.
Hope he gets traded to the East, then the Rockets wont have to worry about him.. This is a big blow for the Kings though, but they can get great deals in return for him. I think they should try getting more defensive-minded players, to take them further into the playoffs. Many teams in the West have given themselves a shake-up, and it's time the Kings caught on. I think (just a thought) taht the Kings need to get rid of CWebb. I'm not sure anyone wants him though. They could package CWebb and Peja in some deal that could bring a/some great player(s), to Sacramento. I cant think of any deals that would make the salaries match..
I cant imagine him in another Uni either..think it is possible for the BUlls to make a strong run at him..they need a solid SF, maybe a trade involving VC with Toronto?

Obviously this trade demand is due to Peja and CWebb having zero chemistry. IMO, Sacramento would sooner get rid of Webber than their All-World SF. Hell, they were the best team in basketball while Webber was injured.

He had said in the same article that he thinks Webber was just frustrated when he made his comment after game 7,so he held no grudges toward C-Webb. Anyway I doubt he traded, the Kings front office will call him up this weekend or setup some type of meeting, they will discuss their differences and the Kings front office will a sure Peja that they want him as a big part of their future. And everything will smooth over time.

It comes as a surprise to me. I knew they should of kept Divac just to keep Peja Satisfied...as a result of not doing so, they might end up losing both. Its funny how these players think they can be traded if they want too. They signed a contract, they made a commitment to stay there for x years, so they shouldn't whine about it. In Peja's case, your getting paid the dough, you're still on one of the best teams in the league, and just because his dad left, doesn't mean you he has to leave too. It's a business, Peja should suck it up and learn to play without him.

The nba is never gonna be the same look whats hapenning the players are becoming the owners the need to shut the hell up play in the team they got sent to. damn
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting jyd2k4:</div><div class="quote_post">alright Kings fans, would you guys do a VInce Carter & Donyell Marshall & fillers for Peja & Webber?</div> Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No. I hope that the other guy was right in saying that the Kings should just call up Peja and calm him down. I hope that he will be sensible enough to think about it and realise that he is in a good situation. The Kings need to make a serious effort in trying to calm him down rather than reacting harshly towards him just like the Lakers did towards Shaq when he discussed the chance of being traded.
not just no, but hell no. well.... hrm... this is bad news... on the one hand, do you trade a player like Stojakovic? One of the best SF in the game (note: i said ONE OF..... not THE best) or take a chance on keeping him and see if he can play up to his potential in the post season... its a bad idea for Stojakovic to request a trade at this point because he has a big knock on his post season performance. but if you stay with the team and make and have a career year including post season with the understanding that management will trade you after the season is over... you might be better off... and what happens if you have another post season like you did the previous year? your trade value will tank... tough decisions all around
Bill Simmons the writer for ESPN proposed a perfect trade a month or so ago, Predrag for Ron Artest. That trade would work out beautifully for both teams. Indiana gets the outside shooter they desperately need and Sac gets one of if not the best defenders in the NBA and some toughness that they need.
dont think artest for stojakovic will happen. Indiana contacted the Kings already on that idea and the Kings said no. this might change things a bit tho.. but I still dont think it will happen
