Do u guys think that would work????? I would go for a deal like that! we all know peja was a MVP candidate! lemme know what u think! I would def do this trade. two unhappy stars two unhappy shooters, two men, big contracts looks good to me! Sac Needs A big dunker and a nice touch of play while T.O needs shooting and they need it now! i dont think peja would be goin to a western conf. team. Feeback thoughts and such!

    Peja wants out, but who??

Sacramento already struggles with defense, Vince is going to make things worse. I think Sacramento needs to bring in players that will make them a better defensive team if they want to be title contenders and Vince is not going to do that for them.

You know what? Peja shouldn't even be said in the same breath as Vince. Peja needs assistance to maintain his game. Vince doesn't need any.

I don't see the benefit for either team, I mean it could help Vince because he'll have a lot of options on his team, but for us unless we're running an offense like their's, Peja isn't going to do too well if he has to create his own shots.

hhmmm, I'm a Peja fan but I'm not sure if he can produce as well on this team. However, so far this has been the best VC trade scenerio IMO. There's a huge fanbase for Peja in TO and I'm sure he won't mind playing here because that. If VC is in fact demanding a trade, then I think we should seriously consider this. I don't know if King fans would agree to it though.

Exactly. Peja needs a big man inside who's a scoring threat to draw the perimeter defense away from him. He also can't penetrate with the ball. Bosh is not at a stage where he can equal Chris Webber yet, and as someone else already mentioned, Peja will probably cause a drop of 1000 in attendance each game.

wow imagining watching Vince playing and then adjusting to Peja sitting outside [IMG]
Yea, i agree to Trip and Chungster, on a playoff game a commentator mentioned that all but like 20 of Peja's 3-pointers come from assits.

i think that if vince gets traded, a drop in attendance is inevitable.

the only players who could fill seats the way vince does, are BIG name superstars...t-mac, kobe, lebron...even paul pierce isnt a fan attraction the way those guys are. those guys obviously arent going anywhere...so we're lookin at a drop in attendance no matter what

plus there is the vince groupie crew...we all know there are plenty of those around...so no matter who comes back, they'll stop supporting the team just because vince is gone

as for peja, i think he'd play well here...he'd be the first option, and rafer can drive and kick, and jalen can create post up situations to give peja open looks. plus a bosh/peja pick and roll sounds pretty deadly to me. if vince does get traded, it wont be JUST vince...someone will have to take another one of our big contracts...so we could end up sending alvin off too, and getting bobby as well.

Bobby Jackson is basically just like Alvin Williams. Both are point guards more suited to come off the bench and be part of a slashing offense, and are injury-prone. Getting rid of Alvin's contract for B-Jax's won't work; you basically get the same guy back, with the same salary.

Peja may not be able to fill in as many seats as VC but he does come really close. I've never heard TO fans cheer for an opposing player as loud as they do for Peja. Heck, I even hear more cheers for him than for our own hometown star Magloire. We have a large Serbian community and a lot of Peja fans here. He can probably fill in seats just as well as any other nba star.

I'd rather have B-Jax because Alvin's knee's are dead, Jackson is more skilled as a scorer, but not a passer, but isn't near as injury prone as Alvin.

I wouldn't do Vince for Peja because Peja needs to go to a team with another star, if he goes to a team where he has to create for himself and his teaamtes, and gets' doubled and tripled all game long, I don't want to imagine how he would do.

^^ the first thread on this subject got merged with the "Vince wants out" thread, so that's where both of yours probably went. This is a whole new thread on the same subject.

okay lets make it interesting; about vince, donyell and alvin for c.webb and peja. i know this trade would be the antithesis of mithcell's high tempo style but this trade seems alluring for both ball clubs. c.webb has an egregiously expensive contract who is experiencing a case of declining skills particularly in regards to constricted mobility and a move to the center spot might be best for him. peja wants out and it might take a superstar to get him out of sacramento. in regards to the kings perspective, donyell compliments their style and alvin is the contingency plan for a bobby jackson who's career might be in jeopardy after the serious injury last season. and it gives them cap flexibility something they didn't have with c.webb's contract and something the maloof brothers proved this off season is that they don't spend as freely anymore over the luxury tax threshold

Hey, you have Chris Webber all you want, but I don't want the 31 year old body and knees of a guy who has been called soft in the post and drifts to the perimeter all day (all he takes is mid-range J's) that we'd be expecting to play center.
All just to get Stojakovic who wants to leave because of Webber, so we ship them both here [IMG]

reuniting vince anc christy hah, i doubt it would happen

but i would never do that cuz vince is worth A LOT more than peja... peja cant create his shot, cant penetrate, cant draw attention in the key, isnt a defensive presence, isnt clutch, not fast, and a lazy passer.

I can't believe you actually believe that the Kings would go for this... realistically... despite the fact that the Kings are on a down slope... they would not trade away a relatively successful core for a group that was highly regarded as unsuccessful this past season... let alone the bad contract of Alvin's they would get...

If this were to be posted in the Kings forum... you'd be torn a new one...

Also, The team chemistry problems in the Kings is not Peja and Bibby or others but it's Peja and C-Webb, Those two can't work together and you guys want both of them here?
