<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">As useful as Peja Stojackovic and his career 18.4-point scoring average is for the Hornets on offense, he does little to shore up their vulnerable perimeter defense. The knock on Stojakovic, the small forward and former three-time all star whom the Hornets acquired this summer from Indiana, has always been his poor defense. Stojakovic's addition immediately gives the Hornets a legitimate scoring threat and go-to guy down the stretch. But his near $64-million price tag doesn't include him grinding out defensive stops. And the Hornets played themselves out of a playoff spot last season largely because of their defensive struggles. For as skilled as Stojakovic is offensively, it will be his output on the defense end that ultimately determines whether the Hornets meet their new postseason expectations.</div> Source
This is extremely true. Even with the addition of Tyson the Hornets are still weak defensively. They are also still weak at the SG position and I was hoping they would pick up Wagner for a Speedy and Paul type combo like last season. They should look up Bonzi to be a help defensively as well as a legit SG. It won't happen though unfortunately. It will be an interesting year for the Hornets next year, no doubt.
