Who is the better of the both... Pele was not only a fabulous player but a terrific ambassador for the game. In the 1970's, He was at the peak and people watched greatness at work. Played in the best team ever, the Brazil 1970 World Cup winning side, an absolute genius. but then again Maradona he's destroyed his reputation in recent years. Amazing dribbler... had the best balance of any player to walk this planet. A fondness for the kind of coke that isn't the real thing means he never entertained us as much as he should have.. In terms of his influence on a match, not to mention his team-mates, he was simply awesome.but Maradona won the 1986 World Cup single-handed. At Hampden in 1979, he even nutmegged Kenny Dalglish. pele, he would of been even better, i saw some videos of when he played and the only reason he wasnt at his peak was because the fouls the ydid on him would of been red cards and like 6 match bans, things like that but because it was times of old they were allowed
Garrincha would play them both off the park.....but in this case i would also say pele, because, as stated above the tackles done on him would have looked out of place on the rugby field nevermind football!!! dirty fookin portugese....was at it then and are still at it now!!!!
