<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jets' Pennington restructures dealJay Glazer / FOXSports.comPosted: 28 minutes agoIt turns out Chad Pennington will be a Jet after all.FOXSports.com has learned that the Jets and QB Chad Pennington have finally agreed to a new restructured deal to remain with the New York Jets. The deal has not yet been signed but has been agreed upon.Pennington was scheduled to make $9 million but now will get a $3 million in guaranteed salary and can earn back the remaining $6 million in play time incentives. Originally, the Jets tried to get him to cut down to $1 million but Pennington refused and it paid off.Pennington is still recovering from shoulder surgery and taking this deal makes sense for both sides. Had Pennington been released he would have had to get signed as a backup. But this deal also protects the Jets in case their starting QB can return to his pre-injury form.http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5384330</div>Good to see...this really helps us save some money for this year.Pennington is the man. From what I'm hearing it's looking like Cutler will probably be the man to take at #4? After his combine and interviews it's looking like he's not a reach anymore within the top 5.

Good to hear for the jets. They need to keep him to backup Cutler and teach him and if he's not ready this year (which is unlikely) Chad can start for one more year but lets hope thats not the case.
