I know he isn't the player he use to be but I think it would be cool if the Heat signed him seeing as though he will be released from Orlando soon if it hasnt already been done. I wouldn't mind seeing Shaq and Penny on the same team again.

That'd be nice. Maybe give him a little playing time and have him retire with the Heat.

I just think it be cool to see Shaq and Penny together again. They could sign him to a Verterian contract like Malone and Gary Payton did with the lakers in 2004. It wouldn't be a waste of time at all. I'd just want this to happen so Penny could go out on a good team and with his former teammate. Imo Derick Anderson was a waste of time because he doesnt fit with Miami and if I were Miami I would release him.

Penny Hardaway is no less a a waste of time then Derek Anderson. Sign Penny to a vet minium? Payton and Malone could actually contribute when they signed with the Lakers. Penny is done, it would be a waste of money.

Penny is done, Derek Anderson can contribute more then what Penny will. Also, how doesn't Derek fit, when Heat lack size at guard. He's the perfect backup 2 guard they need, Shandon Anderson lacks the offensive game.

We'll if Penny is done how come he's still in the league? After all it's not like the fatel injury took place yesterday or last season. He's been around for a a good while since that injury took place so it's not like he couldn't help Miami out in some way.

Also, he's pratically hasn't been in the league since with the Knicks. He wasn't getting any playing time with them. And he's just not the same player he used to be. His past injuries have caught up with his age. He's done. And he won't help the Knicks, unless all of a sudden Wade, JWill, Payton, Anderson, Kapano all somehow get injured, then maybe Penny cracks that rotation. He's not needed.

Well, it would be nice to see alot of players back together, like VC and T-Mac to me would be Sweet, but difficult seeing how T-Mac in a way has gotten better than Carter.Back to topic...Hardaway wouldnt fit because>as mentioned before, the Heat just Aquired Anderson. A penny-like player himself.Derek Anderson is a good offensive and an o.k. defensive player.>The Heat also have Shandon Anderson. A pretty solid Defensive player also. The Heat have Dorrell Wright too, who doesn't and probably will not play now since Anderson has arrived. But he can play a little bit of Small forward too.Penny couldn't play PG because of Gary Payton Himself. If a Player like Hardaway comes in, he will probably run his mouth more than ever. The only way I could ever see Penny be signed by Miami, is if he gets signed to play Backup SF behind Posey. but again that spot is full, Jason Kapono, Wayne Simien, and Dorrell Wright. I'm not saying that they would take that spot from him. I just think the spot is packed. The Heat already have 15 players on their roster anyways...so this post i just made IS FOR NOTHING!!! LOL. prove me wrong please...PN13

Bad team chemistry and they didn't enjoy working with each other, no matter how good they looked on paper. Penny is pretty much useless, just a big contract and he can't play anymore.

People forget that the entire Magic organization(including Penny) and Shaq were not on good terms at all when he left, I doubt shaq would want him. I wonder if someday people will say, Why dont we sign Shaq to a vet minimum to play with Kobe? [IMG]

I hated that they let Robert Horry go to sign that has been Karl Malone but it happend so I just went with it. IMO Malone did not fit with that team. Payton on the other hand had his moments. He could actually fit in with the fast paced offense LA used at the time but the Mailman didn't. Most of the time Malone would miss just about every Basket he took(Yes even the wide open ones). Fact is Malone didn't fit and even if it was Malone in his prime it still wouldnt of worked because he had a diffrent style from the Lakers. Malone should of just stayed in Utah if you asked me and LA should of resigned Horry.
