The Miami Herald's Dan LeBatard says he hears that a Bosh to Miami trade is "done."

Rumors continue to swirl around Bosh and a lot still has to happen before we can know anything for sure, but LeBatard is pretty plugged into the South Florida sports scene so this is one rumor to pay some attention to. The reported sign-and-trade would net the Raptors Michael Beasley, Mario Chalmers and Joel Anthony in exchange for Bosh. The report says the trade is basically agreed to in principle, but don't go ordering those Miami/Bosh jerseys just yet.

    I doubt anything is "done".

The Raptors can easily say they're better off just letting Bosh walk.

My thoughts, if no GM wants Beasley why would the Raptors just succumb to a weak trade acquiring a dubious player like him? Especially this early. They could try to get Noah from the Bulls at least.

From the fake summit rumors to this, I'd hold off.

Yeah it doesn't make sense to me either. Why would Toronto settle on those two players when you have other rumors out there suggesting Bosh is worth Odom/Bynum or Scola/Brooks etc.

Doesn't Toronto also have like 9-10 million in cap space if Bosh leaves?

Why would they waste that on Beasley/Chalmers? Sounds like a Miami fan rumor.

Why are you acting like Toronto gets to pick where he goes?

Because they can pay him $30M more than anyone else.

But if he wants to go to Miami, then all they can do is make the best of it.

The other option is to let him walk and have cap flexibility.

Toronto is over the cap by at least $6M (if they haven't renounced their bird rights to Bosh, more due to the cap hold).

They have to meet the CBA rules - no more than 125% coming back / 75% of what's going out coming back, right?

Bosh at $15M for grins (his last salary)
    Beasley $4.9M
    Chalmers $854K
Anthony $2.5M (assuming they re-sign him to a 300% raise)

    It's not even close.

Yeah, what am I thinking. This is why they bring in a 3rd team with cap space to make some trades work.

FAs tend to stay away from Toronto, so I'm not sure that means very much to them.
