Of course he didn't. He might have to write something positive about Raymond Felton and that would make his head explode. Better safe than sorry. Besides, it's not like his own personal agenda has anything to do with what actually happens on the court. BNM
Here's what The HCP tweeted out....... @bigjohnNEP Nice game by LA and Big Ray... Where are all the PDX media haters at tonight?
I bet he really watched but he didn't want to report about Felton's 3rd quarter, so he says he stopped watching exactly then.
Bingo! We have a winner. Quick has made it very obvious that he has a personal hatred for Raymond Felton. So, when Felton plays well, he makes up a lame excuse so he can pretend it didn't happen. BNM
Any writer that gives Felton credit for Anything is a idiot. He could average 50 points for the rest of the season and we should still say goodbye and get lost. You don't give credit to a cancer.
One game. Near the end of the season. After they've lost all realistic chances at the playoffs. I'm not getting off Felton's case. The guy has been an unmitigated disaster.
That's a little too simplistic. The pre-trade Felton was a total disaster. Since the trade, he's been mostly good, with occasional episodes of both very good and very bad. I suspect it's a combination of getting in shape, getting familiar with his teammates, and a change in coaches. The question is whether this version of Felton is worth taking a chance on with a new contract. I'm pretty sure that, given his inconsistency and his high negatives with the fan base, the Blazers will look to go in a new direction at PG. If they whiff on their dream list, however, I wouldn't be surprised to see Felton back next year.
I'm with you...... I just don't like cats that talk shit when it's convenient. He has been absolutely MURDERING Ray all season and not said one word this past week about him. That's exactly why I will never respect Quick or Jaynes.
Quick gives great blow jobs. That's why he got this gig in the first place. Jaynes, cansuckoff and quick are incredibly ignorant group.
Of all the media dipshits in this market, for some reason Quick bothers me the least. He kind of comes off as a fan.
What I've got from Felton's sudden resurgence is that McMillan really was holding him back as a player.
Explain what you think Nate did to Felton... Told him to dribble off his foot, air-ball wide open jumpers, and never finish around the rim, all while coming into camp way out of shape? I think it's clear him and Nate weren't on the same page, and while it may have been Nate's fault, it just as easily could be Feltons fault. I know in the past the complaint was that Nate held PGs like Sergio back, but we haven't had too many PGs leave Portland and turn into world beaters.
Say no to Felton. He's a bad seed. Character matters when it affects the team, and I am convinced he is not a good character guy. Even if I'm wrong, based on what we've seen of him from day one, it's not worth the risk. Cut bait already.
Until they were Blazers, Felton had never started on a winning NBA team, and Crawford had done so only 2 years in Atlanta. Both had gotten into loose habits like shooting too much. But this doesn't mean that either is a bad character, a locker room cancer, a subversive quitter, etc. I notice that Felton, but not Crawford, was able to improve those shooting habits midseason. But maybe it's just because it's a contract year for him.
