<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">With his team shorthanded due to injuries, Bobcats General Manager and Head Coach Bernie Bickerstaff turned to the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) in February for a pair of guards from the Roanoke Dazzle. While Matt Carroll has caught the attention of fans in Charlotte with several high-scoring games, Cory Alexander has quietly served as a veteran backup at the point guard position.

On Wednesday in Philadelphia, Alexander showed that he can be counted on when needed. With backup point guard Jason Hart out with an illness, Alexander stepped in and scored a season-high 17 points and handed out four assists in 28 minutes. He connected on 4-of-5 field goal attempts, including 3-of-4 three-pointers, against the 76ers.

For Alexander, the opportunity with the Bobcats is a second chance after being out of the NBA since the 2000-01 season.

?I?m definitely looking forward to being part of this team,? said Alexander after signing with the club on February 28. ?I?m excited to be here and grateful for the opportunity. I want to take full advantage of the situation and contribute to the team.? </div>
