It has been rumored for a long time that the Atlanta Hawks were going to swing a Nazr Mohamoud for Wesley Person trade. What is everyone's opinion about this? I think this mostly benifits the Hawks. Person is one hell of a player who averages eleven points a game and shoots forty-three percent from behind the arch which just happens to be the third best percentage in the league. Another reason why this trade greatly benifits the Hawks is the fact that Nazr Mohamoud, who averaged about five points and four rebounds per game last season, will not be seeing great playing time anymore if Theo Ratliff stays healthy. This would aslo give the Hawks a true Shooting Guard and an expiring contract. One would wonder why Memphis would do this trade. I think it is quite simple though. The Grizzlies want to unload Small Forwards and Shooting Guards. Wesley Person is expendable to them since they added James Posey and Dahntay Jones this offseason. The Grizzlies also need a backup for Pau Gasol. While Nazr Mohamoud would not directly backup Gasol he would backup Lorenzen Wright thus allowing Stromile Swift to backup Gasol. What does everyone else think about this possible trade that has been rumored for months?
Good sugestion. I think this would be good for both teams. But doesn't Memphis want kobe? So they should keep there expiriering contracts just incase. But they probly no they may not get Kobe so this deal would be good. Atlanta gets an expiriering contract. While The Grizz get a good backup and very tough center. A four man rotation of Gasol, Wright, Swift and Nazr would be very solid. Swift, Nazr and Wright would all be batteling to start along side Pau.

The most likely scenario would be a sign-and-trade between Los Angeles or another team and Memphis. Nice job of noticing the strong frontcourt Memphis has, but also checkout their backcourt. They have Mike Miller, Shane Battier, James Posey, Michael Dickerson, Dahntay Jones, Jason Williams, and Troy Bell. We should start posting our opinions on the Hawks though. Since this is a Hawks Forum afterall.
Would be good for both teams I would think...Person is a good shooter which Hawks need...and Memphis need another center....but I'm not really convinced on Nazr's game...
