In fact, I think that April Fools Day game might very well have a bearing on who gets HCA in the playoff series we'll just might be playing against them.
They have a much easier schedule than us to close out the season, catching them with only 20-ish games to go is going to be very tough.
I don't know if they are within reach . . . but I think they are beatable in the playoffs and hope we get them in the first round.
I think the best we can get to is #5, and a 4-5 matchup starting @ OKC will be more difficult than people think. Would much rather start @ SA.
True. I have a great feeling about us getting G-Dub. I'm convinced we're destined for the 4th or 5th seed.
Really, you would rather have a playoff series against the #1 seed and vet team vs a #4 team that is young?
We've always matched up well against SA. This SA team really isn't too different from the SA team from last year, except that they've been healthy for the course of the season.
Ya, the biggest reason being Perkins. No one on the Spurs team can cover LA one on one (not Duncan, either). And Dre can somewhat hang with Parker, while he would get destroyed by Westbrook's combo of strength and quickness. I think we can handle KD and Manu, but of the other matchups, I like SA.
First of all perkins looks good cause he played for celts. Wait till he loses garnetts help on defense. Second no way we catch okc. We aren't even confident about beating Houston without Brooks, battier, and yao!!! Third had we beat hawks we had a small shot. Now let's just hope for 8th seed at best.
Like I said for weeks people here and around league act like we are a lock for playoffs. I think we simply miss out cause there's no gelling time. Losses at this point are daggers. Not to mention these games now are the easier ones. We lose anymore games to teams like Houston or Charlotte... it's all but over. You can talk shit or mock me but at the end of the day you know this to be true. If it was just us vs Utah, I'd feel great about our chances but suns are right on our ass big time. Also beating Houston tonight ends their season in all likelihood so tonights game will be brutal vs their bigs.
OKC is hard to defend because they have a big man that is a very good outside shooter and a small player that is a very good inside player. I think we should be aware of these mismatches but still not alter our regular game plan on defense cause that would be letting them dictate how things are going. I think we should play our regular defense, understand that they have special strengthes and maybe try harder but not make drastic changes that would take us out of our rythem and comfort-zone.
I thought it was something like RLEC that is Raef Lafrentz Expiring Contract. That there was some kind of inside joke I missed, that it is New Orleans something something... Nevermind, Nirvana.
I don't see anything to mock here. You make some good points ... maybe you'll even be right this time
