QUOTE

Adrian Peterson set an NFL record in his eighth game as a pro, saving the Minnesota Vikings once again.

After giving up the longest play in league history on a missed field goal right before halftime, the Vikings turned to their amazing rookie. Peterson rushed for an NFL-record 296 yards in a 35-17 victory over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.

He's also the first rookie to have two 200 yard rushing games in a season. Pretty amazing stuff.

DAYUM! They should let him get to 300 yards. He's the second coming of Eric Dickerson.

I thought he was going to be good, and as in good I mean a top3 rusher year in year out, but I didn't think this soon.

He's really good, I think McFadden will be just as good, or pretty close to him.

That's unfair. They played a horrible defense. It sucks that he just edged J-Lew's record by one. Congrats and I wouldn't mind seeing him in the 2000 yard club anytime soon.

Could you imagine if he wasn't sharing carries with Chester Taylor?

Well, to be fair, if he wasn't sharing carries, he'd probably be injured at this point. He carried 30 times yesterday to Taylor's 9. He also had a reception for 19 yards. Combined total touches, Peterson's getting 75%.

Chargers D isn't playing well this yr, but it's not horrible. And I reallydon't think you can say it's "unfair" either. Because, the Browns D Jamal ran on that yr was truly horrible. He had 500 yrds in 2 games that season.

And as a Ravens fan having to deal withJamal's ineffectiveness last few yrs, I really could careless it was broken. Peterson's ridiculous. Few weeks ago when he had 220 something, I was hoping he'd get it then.
